10 Wheel of Fortune X

Meaning: good luck, life cycles, karma, destiny, change of luck, turning point, seasons, timing, change, ups and downs, rollercoaster of life, bad luck, external forces, delays, lack of control, impatience, setbacks

The Wheel of Fortune (X) is a change of fate. When this card comes up in a negative reading or during a negative period in the querent’s life, it is a great sign foretelling of an eventual, if not immediate, change of luck. You might’ve heard of the saying, “time heals all wounds.” In a way, this is the message of The Wheel of Fortune. When it shows up, our angels seem to nod to us, urging us to have faith that this period we are going through has a purpose and that its outcome is most definitely a good one.

“I am realistic – I expect miracles.” – Wayne Dyer

“Remember that sometimes, not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck.” – Dalai Lama XIV

“Luck never gives; it only lends.” – Old Swedish Proverb

“Good luck is a residue of preparation.” – Jack Youngblood

More about the deck:

This preview of The Wheel of Fortune card in The Lovers Mythology Deck might be something totally unexpected for you. It is very different from the traditional Wheel of Fortune card, and in truth, I still haven’t decided if it will be the final card.

If you are a seasoned reader of divination cards, you might recognize some Lenormand symbolism here. This is on purpose. Throughout the deck, you will see symbols found in the Lenormand in different cards. I am confident that as you get to know the deck and get more comfortable reading with it, you will be able to develop a system of reading that works with you. With this added layer of possible combinations and outcomes, your readings will get clearer and your intuition stronger.

Some cards, like this shown above, will have double meanings. This card in particular, as it stands today, are both The Wheel of Fortune and The Clover (in the Lenormand.) Even if the finalized design changes a little, you can be sure that there will be cards in the deck with a similar theme and double meanings. It is up to you how you read them, and that can change with every single reading. The versatility of this deck is amazing because it literally feels like having multiple decks of cards in one — I guarantee that as you use the deck more often, the more its dimensions will reveal themselves. It’s like working with a new deck every reading, so don’t get so caught up with the official meanings. This deck aims to push the boundaries a little bit without diverging too far from tradition.

The best way to read ‘The Lovers Mythology Deck’ is by going with the flow and letting your intuition guide you. What is the major feeling you get with the cards or spread laid out in front of you? Does it feel more like advice or a mirror being held up to you regarding your own emotions about a particular situation? Or does it feel more like an external fact that your subconscious, angels, or guides are pointing out to you? Sometimes, as readers, we may get a “blocked” feeling which is a little like a blank. Of course, it is up to the individual to determine the next course of action when this happens, but, remember that feeling blocked when asking a question could literally mean that now is not the time to know the answer — at least not yet. There are certainly those moments (both in a Tarot reading and in real life) where it really is best if we don’t know something because we or the truth might not be ready to know or be known!
