The World (XXI) comes up when success has been achieved or is close. Whenever I get this card, a sense of relief and a release of tension overcomes me. In its light aspect, The World shows that the querent is on the right path—they are maturing, leveling up, and gaining both knowledge and wisdom. The journey may have been difficult at times, but you have fought, and you are doing great. With The World, all types of success are more possible than ever. If The World shows up in a reading, it is a good time to seize opportunities that intrigue you. You. Are. A. Badass. Congratulations and keep it up.

More about the design process:

I’m having a lot of fun designing the deck, but sometimes, I feel the need to improve or change the design of specific cards. This World card is one of them. It doesn’t feel finished, and it doesn’t have all the components I want it to. I’m thinking of adding an open book element and representing the four cardinal points in the design. Making the overall design more dynamic with a ribbon that wraps around, perhaps, might also add a cool element. I’m thinking of muting the teal color a little, as well. What do you think? (I’m also considering changing the perspective of the Bering Strait.) I have so many ideas on what sort of elements to add—the improved design will be much better, I think. I’m excited to see how it will turn out! I’ll update the image or keep you updated on any changes that differ from the guidebook. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy a little sneak peek into the process.
