What is the Lovers Mythology Deck anyway? What makes it special? What is the story behind it? What is it used for? How? Why did I create it?
The LOMY Deck is not just a Tarot card deck. It is also not a complete Tarot deck. The LOMY deck is a mixture of Tarot, Oracle and Lenormand cards.
Right now, as development stands, the deck could contain around 69 to 78 cards.
The deck includes all 22 Major Arcana cards as well as all 36 Lenormand cards (with a fun twist), in addition to various other cards that act as additional oracle cards. This new-ish concept and system is a positive and grounding addition to any reading, whether for fun, or for real.
What makes this deck special is that “fun twist.” I have never seen or heard of a tarot hybrid deck that works quite like the Lovers Mythology Deck. (Note: the e-guidebook is not yet completed. It will be completed before the release date.)
The Lovers Mythology Deck is intended to be used somewhat like an oracle deck. It is meant to supplement your other favorite decks, but you can certainly use them all on their own. That will work just as well.
I cannot wait for you to get your hands on them. I know you will love them just as I do. I hope they help unlock your imagination in beautifully inspiring ways and I hope they enrich your life, bringing you closer to your North Star. Most of all, I hope they serve as a valuable companion on your journey towards your deepest truths.
The name of the deck was inspired by a life-changing dream I had. The dream was none like I ever experienced before; I was in an incredible, awe-inspiring yet equally frightening whole new world. My body may have been on Earth but my consciousness was not, yet I felt everything and experienced the events in my ‘dream’ as if they were real and with great clarity.
Some people might call this experience an ‘out of body’ experience, lucid dreaming, or astral projection. Perhaps, but all I know is it changed my life and the way I saw things. Death seemed less scary and life more magical, with infinite possibilities grounded in reality.
The dream was both positive and negative, both heaven and hell. I feared for my life and my sanity but I also got to experience living and being in these beautiful worlds that seemed to defy the laws of physics. It was like taking a glimpse into The Great Mystery. Yes, divine and sacred lovers were involved; I got to be One with the Divine Feminine and the Divine Masculine and witness their love through eternity. My imagination was wide open. Through my art and the cards in the deck, I hope you too will get to see the beauty of the worlds I saw.
My name is Kim and I am a reader and lover of Tarot, Oracle, and Lenormand cards myself. I have been using them for around three years now. I’m a self-taught artist and lover of books, animation, and film among other things. I have been studying philosophy, religion, and spirituality for over 10 years. Tarot, oracle, and Lenormand cards have not only helped my creativity and love of art grow, they have also been a wonderful tool for me to connect with like-minded people, strengthen my intuition, and gain insight and clarity on my personal journey. They have brought more magic into my life. Through them, I have been able to help others accurately get in touch with their own heart’s desires, heal their blockages, and recognize unhealthy patterns. They have served to be an instrument of spiritual growth and empowerment and I believe with an open mind, these cards could be that for you too.
These cards can help you out of a rut or show you what is possible if you let them.
I created them knowing how many doors have opened for me since I began using them as a self-help tool. When I was healing from heartbreak or experiencing doubt, the messages I got from the cards helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel when all seemed hopeless. They have helped me open my mind and heart when everything seemed to close in, and because of that, they’ve become a valuable addition to my home; one that I treasure and find joy in.
They may not be for everybody and that is okay.
I believe that energy is not only scientific but also magical. No matter what you believe, these cards (if they call out to you), are meant to be a part of your journey. When doing a reading, you are meant to get what you get. That might scare a lot of people – but remember, while there may be things beyond our control, there are certainly things that aren’t. We have the ability to transmute situations in our lives for our greater good, whether it be our emotions, behavior, thinking, reactions, or simply: what we think we get from a tarot reading. Trust that you are loved, supported and being guided to your greatest and highest path – because you are.
Trust yourself. Trust your heart to lead you there. Sometimes when we want things badly, desire can skew our perceptions and our energy. With sincere intent and an open mind, the cards can help you answer questions and clear any confusion you may have. Not only do they help facilitate internal space for you to hear your inner voice, they’re also more affordable than therapy!
There is obviously more to tell about The Lovers Mythology, things which I won’t get into today. But I look forward to revealing more as the official launch of these beloved cards approach. Lastly, while these cards have official meanings and I have my own intention for their utilization, it is imperative that you follow your intuition when you use them. You might get messages that seemingly have nothing to do with their “official” meanings or pick up on things specific to you or whoever you are reading for – this is perfect. Go with that. Go with your instinct and have fun.
