7 The Chariot VII

Note: This blurred image of The Chariot may not be the final card design.

Meaning: movement, motivation, courage, positive force creating forward movement, willpower, direction, action, a decision is made, momentum, drive, desire, recognition, success, victory, aggression, forcefulness, lack of direction, lack of self-control, fickleness

The Chariot (VII) energy is about wanting to move forward and being ready for what lies ahead. It takes courage and confidence to embark on a journey towards uncharted territory — and The Chariot has both. The power of will, drive, direction are amongst the key forces that move The Chariot forward. Whatever it is about, there lies desire, pulling it’s “wheels” onwards and fueling the engine.

It is the card that comes up when the path towards success and power is clear. This card could also indicate someone who is interested romantically with their eyes transfixed on you, in a love reading. In such a case, it is almost always a positive sign unless the love is unrequited.

Don’t be afraid to give up the good to go for the great.” – John D. Rockefeller

For Beginners:

Every one of the 22 “Major Arcana” cards in the Tarot and The Lovers Mythology deck has an astrological correspondence, either a planet or zodiac sign. It can vary slightly with different systems, so it really depends on what or if you study. For instance, some readers view The Chariot as a Cancer card, whereas I have seen others view it as a Sagittarius card. I personally view The Chariot as a Cancer card.

This could mean a few things, which are entirely up to the reader to determine. One, that it could potentially indicate the zodiac sign of an individual somehow involved in the reading, if not the querent him/herself (querent means “person inquiring” or “the one who seeks.) This could also indicate timing. Click here to see a breakdown of how to read timing, which depends on the question and the card or cards that come up in regards.
