Hi, I’m Elle and I am the creator of this page and the upcoming Lovers Mythology Deck, which I am so excited to share with you.
My favorite people would probably describe me as independent, fiery, stubborn, passionate, gentle and loving until pissed off, the best aunt, and a lover of adventure and travel. They would also likely say that I’m an artist, and have been creating drawings ever since I was a little girl. My first toddler doodle exhibit remains on the walls and wallpaper of my beloved childhood home in the Philippines to this day.
What they don’t realize much about me is how much I love to write and create stories. They may also not be aware of how spiritual I actually am. Spirituality and my connection to God, The Creator, is very important to me. Although I grew up in a Christian background, I wouldn’t call myself religious, but I am spiritual. To me, spirituality is much like magic. Without spirituality, there is no belief, knowing, or experience with magic.
I’ve been studying spirituality, world religions, history, esoterism, art, and more as it relates to the self and the hero’s/heroine’s journey for over 11 years. One fateful day, along that intimate and confounding journey of questioning and exploration, I decided to go to a bookstore, and there, on a cherry-wood shelf across the Bibles on the basement floor of my then favorite place, I found a beginner’s tarot deck for sale in a hardcover purple box, complete within it a paper spread to overlay the cards on top of in a Celtic spread and a substantial guide explaining what each of the cards mean. That day—that simple moment—has changed my life forever. From the moment I set my eyes on the cards and held it in my hands, I knew, that a part of my life’s journey involved the creation of my very own deck. What I didn’t know then was the adventure, curiosity, and connection it would bring to not only myself and God but to nature, history, truth, art, and other kindred souls.
